"I LOVE THIS BAG!!!! I LOVE THIS BAG!! I LOVE THIS BAG!!!! I'm a mom so that means that I'm always toting things for my kids as well as myself. They are too old for me to carry a diaper bag but I still carry a lot of stuff for them. I was looking for a "transition" bag and this fit the bill. I keep all of my stuff in all of the many pockets and I leave the main part for my kids stuff. I had the extra small version of this before I had kids and loved the fact that it could split the strap and turn into a backpack. I miss that with this version but it's a minor complaint. I love the zippered pocket on the outside for easy access to my cell phone and wallet. This would probably be a problem if I was in a busy city or subway every day but it's not a problem for me how in my "soccer mom" role. That problem is easily fixed by carrying it on your left shoulder though if you have that concern.
In the main compartment I can carry a change of clothes for my preschooler and school age child as well as a small package of wipes, a camera, extra batteries for it, and small water bottle for each kid. I still have room for my stuff: checkbook, coupons, PIM, etc. in the pockets of the main compartment. I do admit that I have to use some ziplocs in the big outside pocket to make finding small things like ponytail holders, band-aids, etc. easier.
All in all I love the bag. It's very, very functional. I think it was priced a little high but I never spend a lot for a bag so take that into consideration."
